We’re seeking an experienced process engineer to lead the commercialisation of our breakthrough water treatment technology. As our first senior technical hire, you’ll bridge the gap between academic research and commercial implementation, taking full ownership of our treatment system development.
Main Responsibilities
Technical leadership
- Provide strategic and technical leadership in the development of our water treatment system.
- Lead the definition and development of the future system architecture of our water
- treatment system, adhering to a solutions-focused and user-centric mindset.
- Collaborate closely with the team to define and execute the technology and product
- roadmaps and bring our innovative ideas to life.
- Evaluate and select solutions that resonate with our purpose, break traditional barriers,
- and create a positive impact.
- Explore potential for patents & initiate patent applications
Innovation and R&D
- Design a versatile water treatment reactor based on best practice from global research
- Oversee the build of the reactor and the overall system
- Design a series of experiments (including different liquids) and oversee their execution
- Evaluate test results and feed these back into the design of a commercial unit
- Relentlessly value- & cost-engineer our system to make it affordable and competitive
- Keep an eye on emerging technologies that could enhance our product offerings andsimplify user experiences.
Project management
- Oversee the end-to-end product development lifecycle, ensuring projects stay on track, within budget, and aligned with our solutions-focused approach.
- Prioritise tasks, set milestones and guide our projects with a purposeful and positive approach.
Team management
- Build and lead a development engineering team that feels like an Olympic rowing team.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement, ensuring everyone enjoys the exciting journey.
Adaptability and learning agility
- Navigate challenges with adaptability, embodying our solutions-focused and people-centric values.
- Stay up to date on the latest advancements in PFAS filtration & degradation, sharing your insights to contribute to our collective growth.
Networking and recruitment
- Foster connections that align with our values.
- Leverage your network to identify and recruit top tech talent.
- Collaborate with the CSO to build a talent pipeline for current and future engineering needs.
Industry collaboration
- Collaborate with industry leaders to cultivate partnerships that allow us to offer best-in-class solutions.
