Deep Dives

You will have 2 deep dives in Phase 2. The first, in Week 1 or Week 2, will be to discuss your upcoming milestones.

The second will focus on your fundraising strategy and will take place in mid-May. Both sessions will bring together members of the Carbon13 team and EiRs to discuss your strategies and the best routes forward for your business.

Mentors

Entrepreneurs-in-Residence

You will have 1 hour per week with your EiR throughout Phase 2.

Investor Mentors

In the second half of Phase 2, we will assign you to an Investor Mentor for further support on your fundraising strategy. Investor Mentors are investors in Carbon13’s network who can support you on topics such as your fundraising strategy, investor outreach strategy, and your pitch. Depending on their background, they are also likely to be able to interrogate other areas of your business – this will be guided by you and your mentor.

You will have 3×30 minute meetings with your Investor Mentor, which you will take the lead on arranging with them, following our initial introduction.

Showcase

Phase 2 will finish with a Showcase in mid-June, in partnership with Barclays. More details on the format will follow, but it will be an in-person event including a short pitch from each team.

You will be supported again in your pitch preparation by Paul Bourne. We will set up these 121 sessions in May and June.
