production has almost doubled from 58 million tonnes
in 2000 to 113 million tonnes in 2021 and is expected to
grow to 149 million tonnes in 2030 if business as usual
continues. At the core of this growth is a blooming fossil-based synthetic fibre segment begging for sustainable alternatives with applications in the fashion and interior marketplace.
