Energy Drink for cows to reduce enteric methane emission
The role:
Build and own our digital twin of the cow’s rumen. We recalibrate an open-source mechanistic whole-cow model with our proprietary fermentation and feeding data to predict methane and digestibility outcomes.
What you’ll do
- Develop and maintain the rumen and whole-cow digital twin, integrating lab fermentation data and on-farm feeding data.
- Build the data pipelines connecting lab experiments, trials, and field results.
- Improve predictive accuracy (methane reduction, digestibility, milk yield) with every new farm and experiment.
- Turn model outputs into product and formulation decisions alongside the science and commercial teams.
- Shape with data and AI all processes in an early stage deep tech startup
What you bring
- Strong Python and applied ML or statistics; experience with mechanistic or hybrid (mechanistic plus ML) modeling.
- Ability to work with small, messy, real-world biological datasets.
- Curiosity about biology; you enjoy modeling systems you cannot fully observe.
- Fluent English.
Bonus:
bioprocess or systems-biology modeling, agriculture or animal-science data, dynamical systems (ODE) models.
