As a digital biology challenger, we focus on optimizing the end-to-end fermentation performance through media and bioprocess improvements. Our cutting-edge Virtual Scale-up Platform empowers us to revolutionize traditional lab work, enabling more sustainable and economically viable bio-based production in the long run.
Role summary:
We are looking for a hands-on Lab Technician (technical or scientific background) with experience in microbial fermentation, bioprocessing and applied microbiology. In this role, you will contribute to our project delivery and research activities by conducting microbial fermentation experiments, operating automation equipment, running analytical quality controls, and ensuring the smooth functioning of our lab operations. This is a key role supporting our daily lab operations and research workflows. You’ll work hand-in-hand Dong Zhao, our Co-Founder and Chief Science Officer and her team, running microbial fermentations, operating automation systems, and contributing to project success in a high-impact environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Perform microbial culture maintenance and cultivation, including both aerobic and anaerobic bacteria.
- Prepare media and culture reagents, and handle samples with strict adherence to sterile techniques.
- Conduct microbial fermentations and bioprocess development, from microliter to liter scales.
- Operate laboratory equipment, including liquid-handling robots and bioreactors, and maintain lab tools and instruments.
- Document experiments, assays, protocols, and lab orders thoroughly and promptly in the LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System**)**.
- Contribute to the design of experiments and the optimization of experimental protocols and workflows.
