What made you join Carbon13’s mission to fight the climate emergency by supporting climatetech projects?
What is the difference when it comes to supporting and working with climatetech founders, compared to other founders?
It is important for climatech founders to build a solid business, and also to integrate the impact mission in their story, pitch and key metrics.
Carbon13 is about building sustainable startups and also about building strong teams who can support each other throughout the challenging journey. Are there any examples of teams whose treatment of each other has impressed you and that others could learn from?
The teams I have found most successful foster a culture of vulnerability, transparency, and also playfulness which allow them to make great decisions, not just based on data but also on intuitive elements brought by each member.
Building a start-up is a rollercoaster ride with many ups and downs. What tips do you have for founders to cope with this?
I encourage and coach founders to expand their self-awareness and resiliency skills. Knowing how to best take care of yourself, how you are best able to take effective breaks from work is key to stay balanced along the journey.
Why do you think that Carbon13 is a good place to start a successful climatetech venture?
The ecosystem around Carbon13 with experts, support staff and partners focused on climatech is essential to help venture succeed. We cannot keep thinking the way we have for decades and Carbon13 is here to change the face of the game.
