The Solution
Bluemethane has developed a novel route for the abatement of scope one emissions from water. Their technology improves operational efficiency of water treatment plants and reservoirs whilst remaining energy positive.
The Problem
Methane is responsible for nearly half of net global warming to date. It is 34 times more effective in trapping heat in our atmosphere than carbon dioxide. However, finance for methane emissions reduction accounts for less than 2% of international climate finance. The quickest way we can address climate change is by reducing methane emissions.

Bluemethane receives a £419k grant
Bluemethane has been awarded this grant as part of the Innovate UK and Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs’s funding for innovative projects aimed at monitoring environmental change.
