Simon holds a Master’s degree in Communication and Marketing with a research focus on trust building. In his more than 10 years of experience in marketing, he has consulted deeptech start-ups on marketing and financing strategies, as well as being responsible for marketing and communication in an internationally operating climate tech start-up.
Since November 2022, he is Head of Marketing Europe at Carbon13 and is excited about the multitude and diversity of great talents, teams and ideas.
Anneleen Van Malderen

Anneleen obtained a bachelor’s degree in journalism in Belgium. After moving to the UK, she gained significant administrative and managerial experience working in several companies including deep-tech start-ups. At Carbon13 she manages the day-to-day operations including finance, HR-related and everything else needed to keep the business running.

Min has extensive experience across partnership development, business strategy and go-to-market. Prior to joining Carbon13, he was the UK strategy lead at Eventbrite, pre and post IPO. He has over 10 years of experience spanning technology startups to multi-nationals. Having led on much of the fundraising for Carbon13, he has been responsible for securing over £8m to deploy into our ventures.

Programme Lead
Mai is Programme Manager (UK) for Carbon13’s Venture Builder and Venture Launchpad. She manages the events and operations of the programmes; supporting entrepreneurs to team, incorporate, finance and launch climate tech ventures. She is one of the first points of contact for cohort members and is responsible for Carbon13’s Domain Experts. She has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and is keen to pursue her passion in sustainability.
Stephanie Alys

Stephanie is Director of Entrepreneurship at Carbon13, responsible for finding and backing exceptional founders & teams to build impactful climate ventures. She’s been with Carbon13 since 2021, initially leading the team of Entrepreneurs in Residence to provide operational and strategic support to all teams coming through our programmes.
Prior to Carbon13, Stephanie’s career focused on the Energy and Health sectors. She has spent time both in-house and as a Strategy Consultant in renewables, and holds an MSc in Energy and Climate Policy. Stephanie cofounded MysteryVibe, one of the category-defining sextech startups, exiting in 2019. She sits on the Advisory Board of the Vagina Museum.

Hailey holds a Bachelor’s degree in History from the University of Oxford. She has two years of experience in research and events within the built environment sector, working closely with local government to shape approaches to the design, delivery, and dissemination of city-level transformation. Through this work, she became interested in the potential of innovation clusters to drive the scale and pace of change needed to tackle climate change. Hailey is thrilled to now be supporting climate innovation through Carbon13’s teams.
