We draw on all of humanity’s talent pools to address the climate innovation challenge, and value diversity for the impact it makes on better problem solving. Our cohorts are carefully selected to feature this diversity from background, industry experience, scientific domains, gender and geography.
Partners from industry and leading innovation consultancies support Carbon13’s work through financing the extension of our programmes and delivering our impact through the creation and ongoing support of our ventures journey. In-kind support to the teams and introductions to corporate buyers and investment arms are a crucial element to the value these partners bring to Carbon13.

Image Partnerships with the world’s best universities and outstanding scientific talent are key pillars at Carbon13.
Universities, technology and knowledge transfer centres provide expert advice on IP, Law, public funding and offer access to world-leading facilities to our founding teams. They also support our outreach efforts to reach new budding entrepreneurs.
Entrepreneurs in Residence (EiRs) coach our teams directly and guide them through their founding journey by utilising their own exceptional entrepreneurial experiences.

Our Expert Network of over 300 domain and start-up experts are highly valued members of the Carbon13 community, who, when called upon to crack a particular problem, bring their significant business and technical knowledge to bear on the success of our cohorts of ventures. Specialist Carbon Experts bring a particularly focused knowledge to the cohort, challenging and critiquing the ambitions of the ventures.
Investor Mentors and Partners actively invest and support Climatetech ventures, working hands-on with our founders to assist us in the establishment of fundraising strategies to enable fast and ambitious scaling of their impact.
Our Alumni of founders who have made it through our programme and pitched for our investment – whether they have received it or gone on to raise capital elsewhere – remain engaged and involved in Carbon13. Many will support upcoming teams, and share their hard-won experiences on a variety of world-leading platforms. Alumni can log into their community platform here.
