We’re proud to announce that two of Carbon13’s portfolio ventures have been recognised by Cleantech Group as part of the prestigious 2025 “50 to Watch” list—highlighting the most promising early-stage companies driving innovation in climate tech.

KI Hydrogen, born out of our Cambridge Venture Builder (Cohort 4), is pioneering the production of sustainable fuels and chemicals from cost-competitive hydrogen and carbon feedstocks. From green methanol to sustainable aviation fuel, KI Hydrogen is building the future of hydrocarbons without the carbon burden.

Carbon Cell (part of cohort 3 of our Venture Launchpad programme), nominated by Green Angel Ventures, is dedicated to replacing traditional polymer-based foams with a sustainable alternative. Their high-performance expandable foam is fully compostable and locks in carbon for centuries, offering a scalable solution to reduce plastic pollution and carbon emissions.

We’re thrilled to see the impact of our ventures being recognised on a global stage. Congratulations to both teams.
