For investors
What is SEIS?
The Seed Enterprise Investment Scheme – a UK government initiative
SEIS - an overview
-
Income tax relief of 50%
-
Capital gains tax exemption
-
Loss relief on investments that fail
- Reinvestment relief
- Inheritance tax relief
SEIS and its tax benefits are for investments of up to £200,000 per annum.
Investors may apply the income tax relief to the tax year of their investment or carry it back to the previous year.
So for SEIS Fund VIII, investors can decide whether to claim relief on this tax year (2025/2026) or last year, 2024/2025.
Risk warning: Tax relief depends on an individual’s circumstances and may change in the future. The availability of tax relief depends on the company maintaining its qualifying status.
