Carbon13, in partnership with Barclays Eagle Labs, to scale over 100 climate ventures.

Introducing The Venture Launchpad, a new programme for pre-existing teams and early stage start-ups to help tackle climate change.

Why the Venture Launchpad?

Without large-scale reductions in greenhouse gas emissions, limiting global warming to close to 1.5°C will not be possible. Carbon13 is the venture builder for the climate emergency.

Carbon13 brings diverse groups of the world’s brightest minds together to create scalable ventures, each one with the target to reduce anthropogenic greenhouse gas emissions by 10 million tonnes per year.

The Venture Launchpad programme encourages entrepreneurs, scientists, investors and large organisations to collaborate on hundreds of innovations and rapidly scale ventures to reduce carbon emissions.

The programme

The Venture Launchpad will enable founder teams to integrate world class mentoring on carbon intelligence, entrepreneurship, and investment readiness. The programme, delivered in partnership with Barclays Eagle Labs, will help founders to bypass barriers and drive innovation to rapidly tackle climate change.

This fully funded programme will include business development and investment opportunities, access to Barclays Eagle Labs business mentoring programmes and two showcase days for businesses to pitch their ideas to potential investors. Participants will also gain access to workspace at the GreenTech focused Eagle Lab, based in Cambridge and access to the UK-wide Eagle Labs network.

Who is the Venture Launchpad intended for?

The programme is intended for existing teams and early-stage start-ups  from any industry.

Applications will open in December to all those working on decarbonising climate innovation and are particularly encouraged in areas such as decarbonising the built environment, rethinking the use of chemicals in energy production, food security and enabling platforms for net zero.
